In a small, humble neighborhood, there is a group of children who attend our Sunday School every day week. These children are filled with joy and laughter, but behind their innocent smiles lies a deep struggle. They come from families who can barely make ends meet. Many of these children’s parents work hard labor jobs, and some are without stable income, living day by day with whatever little they can earn. This situation has only gotten worse as rising costs have made it difficult for families to afford basic necessities like food. 

These children often come to Sunday School hungry. It breaks our hearts to see them eager to learn and play, yet visibly weakened by the lack of a proper meal. For many of them, Sunday School is not just a place for spiritual growth; it is a safe haven where they receive the love and care they might not always find at home.

Why Are They Without Food? 

 The primary reason these children are without food is the cycle of poverty their families are trapped in. Many parents lost their jobs during recent economic hardships, and inflation has made even basic groceries unaffordable. Some families have to choose between paying rent and buying food, and unfortunately, food often becomes the sacrifice.  

What Do We Need to Buy?

 We need your help to provide these children with the nourishment they desperately need. every week just $500 we can purchase enough food to provide: 

Of these $200 per week goes to children and $300 to poor families

•  Nutritious snacks like fruit, bread, and milk for the children during Sunday School.

• Basic grocery packages for the neediest families, including items like rice, flour, lentils, and cooking oil.   

• This small act of kindness can make a huge difference. It will help fill their empty stomachs and allow them to focus on learning and growing in a safe and loving environment.

• Ongoing Needs While $500 will help us provide immediate relief, the needs are ongoing. Many of these families will continue to struggle for months to come. With your continued support, we hope to:

•  Provide regular food packages to the most vulnerable families.

• Offer nutritious meals every Sunday for the children attending our classes. • Expand our support to include school supplies and hygiene kits to help these children thrive.
