This man's name is Afzal. And when I went to his house, I knocked on his door and he opened it laughing, but what I saw as soon as I entered was that he was showering one of his children. I asked him why he was doing this, isn't his mother to do this? Then tears came to his eyes and while crying, he told me that “no, my wife has divorced me and she has married a Muslim and I still have four children whom I take care of. I feed them, take them to the washroom and bathe them, I wash their clothes etc. myself and I also cook food for them myself.
When I heard all these things and saw it for myself, I was crying inside and tears came to my eyes, thinking how a father fails without a mother. It is very difficult for him to take care of his children without a mother because when a mother takes care of the children herself, then I say that it is very good, but if a father takes care of them alone, then it is a little difficult, no, it is very difficult, it is not a little, it is very difficult. And then I asked him what kind of work he did, he told me that I used to work, but I haven't been going to work for a few days. My younger son is not feeling well. That's why I have to take care of him right now. That's why I'm not going to work. Life is very difficult at home. I don't get much income from where I work. I have four children and I have to take care of them too. I need a lot of things for them but I can't do anything because I live in poor a house. I told him that I will pray for your family and for you. I hope that God will provide for you very soon. You should not be sad on Christmas. Whatever happens to me, I will help you and you should also pray that God will provide for you so that we can help you.
And then we prayed together after that and I felt very good that he had faith in God that God would provide for him. I hope that God will provide for him very soon. He will provide for his needs and give his family patience because what the mother of these children has done to them is not good at all. I am very saddened to hear this. Therefore, I request all of you to join me in this mission of mine, so that together we can help such suffering families and make them happy on Christmas. When he told me that my situation had deteriorated and that I didn't have enough money to pay for medicine for my child, I felt very sad. Apart from this, there are many other things, we talked about, many things together, but I feel too sad to tell you those things because when I am talking about it, I am feeling a lot of pain inside. I am actually crying after telling you this. . And you people should think about the situation he is going through, how he must be making a living. Please think about it and pray for him. This is really painful and I am very sad because of this, please help him in any way you can.
Shakeel Masih, a woodworker, has seen his work slow down drastically, and his wife Alina, who used to clean houses, is unwell and unable to work. The family of five, including their children Sahil (8), Minahil (6), and their youngest son (4), is facing severe financial difficulties. They are behind on two months’ rent, totaling $138, and fear being evicted if they cannot pay $207 by the end of this month. Additionally, their hand pump for water has broken, requiring $95 for repairs, and they need $60 for essential food supplies. In total, they urgently require $362 to meet these needs.
When I visited them, they had no food at home, but despite their hardships, we prayed together, trusting that God will provide for their needs. This family’s story reflects the pressing need for support, especially during the Christmas season, a time of joy and giving.
We invite you to join us in helping this family in Christ. Any contribution, big or small, will make a significant impact. Let’s come together to ensure they have a warm, blessed Christmas and are reminded of God’s love through our collective efforts.
How You Can Help:
•$207 for rent
•$95 for a new hand pump
•$60 for food supplies
Together, we can raise $362 and provide this family with hope and relief this Christmas. If you cannot give financially, please keep this family in your prayers. Every act of kindness makes a difference.
Let’s share Christ’s love this Christmas!
God bless you all.
