Laiba is a girl who lives with her parents and three younger siblings in a small overcrowded house on the outskirts of the city. Her father works as a laborer earning a daily wage that barely covers their basic needs while her mother stays home to care for the younger children. 

Life is a constant struggle for the family. Some days there’s just enough food for one proper meal. Laiba’s clothes are hand-me-downs patched and faded, and her worn out shoes don’t fit properly. Despite their challenges the family remains close-knit supporting one another through their hardships. 

Laiba helps her mother with household chores, fetches water from the nearby well, and looks after her younger siblings while her father works long hours in the scorching sun. Though she rarely gets a moment to herself she loves sitting outside at dusk dreaming of a better life for her family. 

Their home offers little comfort: cracked walls, a leaky roof, and no reliable source of clean water or electricity. Even in these harsh conditions, Laiba’s family holds on to hope and faith believing that brighter days may come.
